Education Day at the Photoville Festival

The Photoville Festival Education Day takes place every September and gives local middle and high school students an inside look into the exhibitions, artists, and curators that make up Photoville, New York City’s premier pop-up photo destination, and the power of visual storytelling.

The Education Day program includes the following:

Artist-led Exhibition Tour
Your students will view and discuss a diverse group of photography exhibitions, ranging in topic, theme, and photographic approach.

Youth Photographer Panels
Your students will hear from local youth photographers, to learn how their peers tell visual stories, and how they can get involved themselves.

Educator Resources and Professional Development
Educators will receive a Resource Packet with images and discussion questions to teach from Photoville exhibitions. They may also participate in a Photoville Educator Lab.

Photoville Education Day 2020

Registration for the upcoming field trip will open in the spring.

Please sign up for the Educator Mailing list below to be notified when registration opens.

Thank you to our amazing team of volunteer guides, the youth photography organizations, and the exhibition artists for their dedication and support to make each field trip happen!
