Impact of Exchange: Stories from U.S. Exchange Alumni

Organized in collaboration with the Office of Alumni Affairs at the U.S. Department of State and Global Ties U.S., Impact of Exchange: Stories from U.S Exchange Alumni, is a photography exhibition that showcases photographs taken by U.S. citizen alumni of international exchange programs.

This collection of photographs depicts their experiences around the world. Connecting with different cultures through food, festivals, artwork, athletics, and religious and traditional rituals were the highlights of many of the alumni. As they photographed each other and strangers who quickly became friends, the camera brought them closer to the people and places that they were immersed in. Their photographs will transport you to the home-cooked meals they received, the music and dance festivals they witnessed, and the many sunsets and sunrises that they shared. We hope this exhibition inspires you to experience the world through educational or cultural exchange.

The exhibit will travel to multiple cities across the United States over the course of 2023-2024, in order to highlight the exciting opportunities that exist through international exchange, spark curiosity and interest on the part of audiences around the United States, and inspire future exchange participants.
