The International Photo Festival Leiden (IPFL) offers emerging European photographers a stage in the first phase of their professional career. The IPFL creates an international platform with a high visibility and advertising value. The photographers show their work and get into contact with a broad and international photography-loving audience.

The IPFL is an initiative of the Foundation for Talented Photographers, which was founded in 2013, and takes place every other year. The festival is based on two pillars: photo competition and festival.

The board of the International Photo Festival Leiden (IPFL) has decided, after intense deliberations, to postpone the Photo Festival Leiden 2020 due to the COVID-19 virus. The festival would have taken place from 9 – 17 May with an announcement of the winner on the opening day by our professional jury.

The Photoville Emergi-cubes program invites respected photo industry leaders to nominate emerging talent to exhibit their photography on repurposed shipping pallets displayed throughout the Photoville festival. The Photoville NYC 2019 Emergi-cubes were curated by James Estrin and David Gonzalez, of The New York Times.
