Am I What You’re Looking For? focuses on young women of color who are transitioning from the academic world into the corporate setting, capturing their struggles and uncertainties on how best to present themselves in the professional workspace.

About Endia Beal

Endia Beal is a North Carolina-based artist, who is internationally known for her photographic narratives and video testimonies that examine the personal, yet contemporary stories of women of color working within the corporate space.

 

Beal has been featured in several online editorials including The New York Times, NBC, BET, Huffington Post, Slate Magazine and National Geographic. She has also appeared in Essence Magazine, Marie Claire magazine (South Africa), Newsweek (Japan) and Photo District News. Her work has been exhibited in several institutions such as the Columbia Museum of Art in Columbia, South Carolina; the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Art + Culture, based in Charlotte, North Carolina; and the Aperture Foundation of New York.
