This year, Photoville teamed up with 13 of your favorite artists from the Photoville community to curate a special edition 2024 Photoville Calendar! This calendar is an ode to our supporters and the artists that make Photoville what it is today.

A group exhibition in Hunter's Point Park exploring interactions between humanity and ecology. Presented in partnership with Hunter's Point Park Conservancy.

Featuring photojournalist Carol Guzy's coverage of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Presented in partnership with Boston University.

Impact of Exchange: Stories from U.S. Exchange Alumni

A traveling exhibition that showcased photographs taken by US alumni of international exchange programs. In partnership with the U.S. Department of State and Global Ties U.S.

Photoville x Winchester

13 exhibitions focused on our changing planet, climate and cultures around the world. In partnership with the Griffin Museum of Photography in Winchester, MA

The T Building

Six photographers are featured in this permanent, private residential installation in the T Building in Jamaica, Queens, NY.

MISSING THEM

A collaborative COVID-19 memorial and journalism project presented in partnership with THE CITY. Exhibited in Queens and the South Bronx, it featured stories, obituaries and photos of New Yorkers who died from COVID.

Living in Sanctuary

An exhibit centering the emotional, psychological, and political impact of taking sanctuary, showcasing images that are rarely depicted in the mainstream representation of asylum seekers. On show at St Ann's Warehouse during the performances of Good Chance Theatre's "The Jungle".

A Place Where the Dream Lives

Elias Williams' documentation of St. Albans, celebrating the nuances of Black homeownership in the midst of economic hardship and preserving the identity of one of New York City’s historically Black communities.

The Refinery: Where the Past and Future Meet

Installed at the foot of the Domino Sugar Refinery, the exhibit explores the rich and complex history of the Refinery, through a combination of historic and contemporary photographs.

Live Pridefully: Love and Resilience within Pandemics

An exhibition reimagining and affirming undocumented Black and Brown LGBTQ+ immigrants and asylum seekers as essential workers, creatives, and contributors to the cultural diversity of New York City. Presented in partnership with the Caribbean Equality Project and Queens Museum.

Wanted: A World for One Billion

An interdisciplinary exhibition featuring artists who uniquely counter society’s assumptions about persons with disabilities — delving into the nuances of their lived experiences as part of the disability community. Presented in partnership with UNFPA.

Embracing our Sovereignty

An immersive photographic exhibition that used Augmented Reality to add new layers of storytelling to the work of artist Tomás Karmelo Amaya. Presented in partnership with Instagram Design.

Explored Surroundings

Featuring work by local students, an exhibit rooted in familiarity that gives us all new ways to look at our daily surroundings. Presented in partnership with the Red Hook Community Justice Center.
