Gwendolyn Adams Norton

Gwendolyn Adams Norton is formerly a Senior Vice President & Business Banking Executive for Wachovia Bank where she was responsible for tri-state business banking operations and banking strategy. She has held additional positions at Wachovia including Senior Vice President & Commercial Banking Sales Director, Senior Vice President & Southern Region Sales Manager and Senior Vice President & Community Development Manager. Prior to Wachovia, Adams Norton was Chief Operating Officer & Vice President for Banco Popular De Puerto Rico, Virgin Island Region. She has also held the position of Commissioner, Department of Finance for the Government of the U.S. Virgin Islands. Gwendolyn is a member of the Board of Trustees for Spelman College, The NPR Foundation, The Chautauqua Institution, and Acorn Technology. She previously served on the Boards of The Visiting Nurse Service of New York, New York Public Radio and the Park Avenue Armory. In 2011 Gwendolyn was a Fellow in the Advanced Leadership Institute at Harvard University. Gwendolyn holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the College of William and Mary and is a graduate of the Executive Program at Louisiana State University Graduate school. She is also an award-winning photographer.

 

Gwendolyn is the wife of Peter Norton, the computer-software publisher, author, and philanthropist.
