Community Heroes is a community organizing and public art project celebrating the everyday heroes of our neighborhoods. With a focus on historic residents, we collaborate with local artists to celebrate those who have been a faithful, stable presence in strengthening and supporting their neighborhoods. Working with neighborhood organizations, artists, and residents, this project shares beautiful stories, builds community among old and new neighbors, and encourages ownership of the neighborhood.

An exhibition is currently on view in Fort Greene Park, along the Brooklyn Hospital fence.

New projects are currently in development in Fort Greene and Bed-Stuy/Crown Heights.
