In this interactive workshop led by Getty Images staff photographer Elsa Garrison and ESPN senior photo editor Julianne Varacchi, participants will venture out into the world with experienced sports and action photographers to learn how to capture classic moments and get great shots of constantly moving subjects. Improve your sports photography by learning the techniques used by top sports photographers to capture peak action and images with emotion. Learn technical aspects such as lens choice, using ambient light, backgrounds and shutter/f-stop combos.

This is a BYOC (bring-your-own-camera) workshop that will meet for an introduction and slideshow session in the Photoville Workshop Area before heading out for a live, guided shooting session in and around Photoville. The workshop also includes an optional wrap-up session and casual group critique, where students can share work and ideas, and get feedback from instructors and workshop peers.
